Guess it is official - I am going to China. Just got our passports back with our Visas!!
Now a ton of things to think about, most especially, clothes and how to put them in a suitcase that weighs no more than 44 pounds!!! And all this for 45 days!! I am actually thinking of packing a suitcase with what we will need on the ship and sending it ahead to Singapore.
We are heading to countries Carlos has already visited, but I haven't. But before we board the beautiful Diamond Princess on April 15, we will have a 6 day land/river package. Since we weren't sure if we would ever go back to this part of the world, we decided to add on a Yangtze River Cruise
to see Three Gorges Dam
and 2 days in Xian to see the Terra Cotta Warriors.
Here is our itinerary. More to follow in the days and weeks leading up to our departure on April 3.
